One of my favorite quick meals would have to be the baked potato. Simply throw it in the oven for 1 hour to bake (or if your really short on time in the microwave) and top it with whatever you have on hand: deli meats, cheese, butter, sour cream, veggies, bacon, ect! Easy and pleasing!
ReplyDeleteMy quick meal, would be Cowboy's Delight aka Goulash(sp?) I just mix a pound of hamburger, onion, seasonings. Add cooked macaroni, tomato sauce and I'll throw in some of my bagged frozen corn. Top with shredded cheese. Easy, fast and my family LOVES it!

ReplyDeleteHave you made larger versions of this? I don't have mini loaf pans like that. What would be the cooking times for a larger loaf?
ReplyDeleteHey Amy,
DeleteNice to hear from you. You can make this into one regular sized loaf and it will turn out just as nicely. I would imagine you would need to bake it for about an hour. Good luck! Hope it turns out great.
~Jamie
I made it into two loaves (bread pan size) and I think it cooked for about an hour. Turned out delicious. In fact, I posted this on my blog about it:
DeleteWhenever Zach says "Mom, this was really good - put it on our 'make-again' list. Whose recipe was it?" I almost always respond - "Who do you think?" and then we both say "Jamie Cooks It Up". Thanks for all the great recipes that feed a family of boys with left-overs!
Great! So glad it turned out well. I love that recipe as well. Think I'll make it this week. Have a good one!
